Today Monday the 19th of May while canvassing in Royal Oak Santry I spoke to a member of the Residents Association who complained to me about the lack of grass cutting and maintenance in the Estate. There is also a problem with people dumping rubbish in the hedgerows along the green space in the area. I will if elected endeavour to ensure the council provide the residents with the service they are entitled to.
I firmly believe that strong Residents Associations will be a huge benefit to Communities. I will work to grow the relationship between the Council and Communities for the benefit of all.
Any dumping of rubbish should be reported to the litter department in Fingal County Council. My experience with the litter department has been a positive one as they do respond to calls regards littering. They also collect and check the litter for any items that can identify the offenders.
