Thursday the 11th of September I was called to the Rivervalley area to witness the Fingal County Council flushing thousands of litres of water down the drains.
A local resident phoned Irish Water and was told that it was nothing to do with them, It now transpires that there may be another leak on the Forest Road and that may have been the reason for draining the water main.
The concerned resident has suggested that the council should stop wasting this water and instead collect it in some of their mobile water tanks and find a use for it other than dumping this valuable resourse down the drains.
