Following requests from the tidy Towns Committee I submitted a question to get clarification on Circus posters. see below.
Question: Councillor J. Newman – Circus Posters.
“To ask the Chief Executive to detail what the policy is for allowing the putting up of posters in swords village and surrounding areas, especially posters relating to circuses and carnivals?”
Reply:
Section19(7)(a) of the Litter Pollution Acts1997 – 2009, permits the advertisement of circuses or carnivals as they are considered exempted development under the Planning and Development Act 2000 (Commencement)(NO.3) Order, 2001.
