I attended a meeting of the purple flag committee in the Chapel of Swords Castle on the 2nd of June, there was a good attendance from local businesses and council officials.
a very constructive discussion took place and a number of actions were identified to promote Swords as a safe place to come to enjoy a night out.
The goal will be to build on the awarding of the purple flag to Swords to ensure that we retain the flag for next year, this flag will help grow tourism to Swords and should bring a lot of business to pubs as well as restaurants and other businesses.
