I have put a question to the Council regards the many obstructions along main street, I will continue to pursue this issue to make businesses and the Council aware of their responsibilities to make sure all members of our society can easily and safely navigate our footpaths and roads in Swords and Fingal.

“To Ask the Chief Executive when carrying out the refurbishment of Swords Village to take due consideration of the need to remove any obstructions such as trees, lamp posts and other impediments so as to provide a clear corridor through the middle of the footpaths to cater for wheelchair users as well as visually impaired people?”

Any planned future redevelopment of the road and footpaths of Main Street, Swords will take into consideration the necessary accessibility issues for all pedestrian users.
