Thursday, 8th September 2016
ITEM NO. 44
Footpath/Ramps – Accessibility

Question: Councillor J. Newman
“To ask the Chief Executive what facility is in place within the Council to allow the elderly and people with disabilities to consult and engage with the Council with regard to accessibility issues, specifically in relation to footpaths and ramps?”

Reply:
Fingal County Council Operations Department have a good working relationship with statutory bodies (HSE etc), transport providers (Dublin Bus etc), and assistance agencies (Prosper Fingal etc) and we work closely with them whenever an issue of this nature is identified.

The Age-Friendly Fingal initiative (through the Housing & Community Department) would also be another channel for raising these
